This listing is for the one lucky person to own a piece of DJ mixer history. A collectors item, for the collector who understands what is being sold here. The very first DJ mixers ever created, made, and sold in the early 1970’s that featured a crossfader was the GLI 3800 and the Meteor Clubman One-One. There is some debate about which company was first (GLI or Meteor) to introduce the crossfader concept to the DJ industry. Undoubtably evidence shows that both companies (GLI and Meteor) in parallel were the first to introduce the crossfader concept to the DJ music industry in the early 1970’s around the same time. The Meteor Clubman One-One could be found in many New York area Disco clubs and was also adopted notably by many famous Hip Hop DJ’s around the world who made good use of the crossfader for scratching purposes.
