I have customized this LG V30 specifically to use as a Digital Audio Player (DAP), not as a phone. LG’s ESS Sabre DACs still are fantastic and sound amazing. Unlike the other V30s that will forever be stuck on Android 9, this is what my DAP-ified LG V30 has:Android 14 (LineageOS) current as of 8/25/2024 (Please remain on this build, I cannot guarantee things won’t break if you update. I’ve frozen the updater process so you won’t be prompted) Google Play Store and Services only (for all your audio and streaming services: UAPP, Tidal, Qobuz, Apple Music, Roon without any of the other Google apps)Zero bloatware Full ESS Sabre Quad-DAC settings (Impedance Modes, Filters, Amp without having to trick the phone)Root access for other audio related tweaks if you so choose (Magisk v27) Custom DAP wallpaper and icon visuals Basically, this LG V30 was brought from 2018 into 2024 and is still a killer option for a dedicated DAP compared to other ones at this price range and will be for years to come. Lots of development and time went into this. Message me with any questions you may have. The DAP pictured is not the exact unit you will receive. I purchase refurbished LG V30 units for these conversions. I only keep 1 phone at a time since it’s such a niche thing. There will be a 2-3 business day lag time before I receive a device. I will keep you in the loop the entire time. Please allow me another 2-3 business days to perform the conversion. I do this with the minimal free time I have. All of them will be slightly different cosmetically but all in good condition, and usually with refurb factory plastic on the screen/back.
