Item Details: HTF Vtg Christian Dior Brown Leather Flap Bag-Gold CD Logo-Chain Strap 2-Way DETAILS: Authentic vintage Christian Dior brown leather chain strap 2-way shoulder or clutch bag. Front flap snap button closure with gold metal CD logo on the front, open leather interior (no pockets) and gold chain shoulder strap. The strap can be tucked into the inside of the bag and carried as a clutch as well. Bag measures 5.5”H x 9”W x 2”D (max when stuffed). Strap drop is 14” long. This bag pre-dates serial numbers due to it age. I estimate its from the early to late 80's era. Interior is heat stamped “Christian Dior Made in France.” There is also a label from the store it was sold in France. It Reads “R Bagot Maroquinier” GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC. ITEM CONDITION: Good vintage preowned condition with no real major signs of wear/use. Leather has minor scratches and minor fading along the edges. Interior is clean with no stains or storage odors. Chain strap and front CD logo have minor tarnish but are still mostly gold in color. There is a crease along the bottom of the bag from being stored without stuffing. This bag was purchased preowned, and the snap closure wasn't functioning as it should/it was stuck. I had the button closure hardware lubricated to free the springs inside so it would snap closed. Some of the lubrication seeped onto the leather around the snap as you can see in the photos. It can't be seen when the bag is closed. The snap closure is functional now but still a bit finicky. A video has been uploaded to show the opening and closing of the bag with it lubricated. It may not show in the listing immediately. The bag was made with a small oval leather piece behind the snap. I'm guessing this was to be able to change the snap if it ever needed to replaced. This bag is old, vintage (1980’s) previously used and not new but has LOTS of life and use left in it. It appears it was seldom used and stored most of its life. If you are seeking perfection or are super nitpicky a new Dior bag at full retail price is your best option.
