Eureka ECWS ECWT Extreme Cold Weather Tent Military USMC Some NIB! NSN 8340-01-406-9299 Up for auction is a complete 4 man ECWT tent system, for one of the three tents in the family of small soldier tents developed by the US Army Natick Soldier RD&E Center (the other two are the 2 man Combat Tent and the 3 man LEWS). The tent is the version with the two regular semi-circle doors, one tunnel door, sky light, and floor opening. The tent body and pole set were actually replacement items – they are new in their original boxes! The assembled tent shown in the photos is a similar used one, the one you will get has never been set up and the poles never used. Neither of the flys show any sign that they were used outdoors. The Woodland Fly still had the nylon cord around it, which is how they same from Eureka. The white fly does have some marks on the white from grommets and straps as shown. These marks were also present on a new ECWT that I received directly from Eureka. The stakes show slight use, and the overall bag is not in very good shape – has about 20 small holes where the poles from another set wore through. Both North Face and Eureka produced this tent for the military. Following is the description from the Eureka MilitaryTent website: Extreme Cold Weather Tent (ECWT) Description The Extreme Cold Weather Tent is a four-soldier, four-season, tensioned pole supported shelter with 64 square feet of floor space and an interior height of 54″. In the mission transport configuration (tent body, fly and poles) the tent weight is less than 21.5 pounds and the transport cube is less than 1.6 cubic feet. The two rainflys are Woodland Camouflage and Arctic White and are blackout coated for use in different environments. The fly provides an additional 30 square feet of vestibule area.
