It is safe and non-addictive, and its sedative properties come from other alkaloids.Active Ingredients:California Poppy consists of numerous isoquinoline alkaloids and folavone glycosides which contribute to most of the medicinal properties of this plant. The most important one is Californidine. The rest consist of (alkaloids) californidine, sanguinarine, escholzine, proptine, crytpopine, chelidonine and (glycosides) rutin, quercitin, and isorhamnetin.These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.
