How to use your Foil Quill Magnetic Mat with an electronic die cutting machine: Align your Magnetic Mat with the grid lines of your electronic die cutting machine’s mat and adhere it. Place your paper or thin material on the mat using the gridlines to assist in the alignment. Place your Foil Quill foil (sold separately) on top of the paper with the pattern side face up. Use the magnetic strips to hold the foil taught over the material, being careful not to align magnets along the top edge that will be inserted into the die cutting machine. If applicable to your machine, move the rotary wheels of the machine out of the way. Follow the instructions for your cutting machine to load the mat into the machine and begin foiling. How to use your Foil Quill Magnetic Mat with the Foil Quill Freestyle: Place your paper or thin material on the mat using the gridlines to assist in the alignment. Place your Foil Quill foil (sold separately) on top of the paper with the pattern side face up. Use the magnetic strips to hold the foil taught over the material. Start drawing or writing whatever you want! TIP: You can even stamp on the foil to trace over it with the pen, use stencils to guide your design, or place a piece of printed paper on top to trace as well. Important reminders about your Foil Quill Magnetic Mat: Ensure the mat remains level as it enters the machine; do not leave the machine unattended when in use.
