Strelitzia reginae Bird of Paridise orange Listing is for single rooted plant as shown in photos. These are nice size developing plants nearing mature size not little starter size sent in 2 to 4 inch pots. Bird-of-paradise Strelitzia reginae) is a native of South Africa. The leathery leaves are held upright on stiff leafstalks and can get about 6 inches wide and 18 inches long when plant fully mature. The evergreen leaves of bird-of-paradise do not drop from the plant, which makes it an excellent addition around pool, low maintenance when planted outdoors in warm climate. Does well potted, even blooms a little better when root bound. In colder climates, Bird of Paradise can be used as a houseplant. Full sun to bright filtered light, rich fast draining medium. Plant will be sent in wrapped root ball ready to pot or place in ground. Not sent potted as growing in large gallon size pot. Do see our White Bird of Paradise listing. My handling time ( 5 or 10 business days ) allows for shipping most items at beginning of week, weather conditions, the pulling plants from stock including offsite greenhouse which I visit usually only once a week. Plants are prepared for shipping which includes for most a day of hydrating followed by a day to allow plants to dry. Plants like Tillandsia and Vanda orchids need to be completely dry prior to boxing. Shipping damp in a warm dark place increases chance for fungus to develop. Recommend you always do preventative treatment on any plant shipped and then water thoroughly to rehydrate.
