Thousands of miles of tire testing happened during the 2023 BAJA 1000. Team ISH pre ran 500+ miles and finished the 1300 mile race on a SINGLE SET OF TIRES! This includes over 100 miles of highway riding! After the race the same set of tires went on to race (and win) a 120 mile D38 race the following weekend! About the tires! New tire design for a lighter carcass. (Rears 19.3 LBS) The rear lugs have a 45 degree ramp/shovel on one side and a flat edge on the other. This helps the lug clear the mud and take a fresh “bite” every rotation. The rears also have an aggressive side lug for lateral traction in the corners and ruts. When the tire is pushed onto the sidewall, the side lugs are engaged and they help push you through the corner or rut.
