For sale is my 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser camper conversion, complete with 5.3 LS swap and 4L60E transmission. I built this rig in 2020/2021 and have traveled all over North America as well as Baja, Mexico. The rig comes well equipped with a queen size bed, onboard sink, diesel cabin heater, Iceco fridge all driven by 200 watts of solar on the roof. Some of the pictures are older, I have recently added corner protection and sealed all the seams, as well as added lower rear skirting to tie in the rear of the vehicle for a more streamlined look. Located in Stevensville, Montana. 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser 80 Series Camper Drivetrain 2001 5.3 Vortec V8 engine swap (LS swap) 170k miles · All sensors and front mount accessories replaced with swap, new water pump, new oil pump, new timing chain and gears,new f body oil pan, new alternator, new AC pump. · AC fully functional · Mild tune done by ER Automotive 4L60E trans · NOVAK Conversions modified pan Toyota HF2A(V) Factory T-case · Marks adapters trans/t-case adapter · 2wd/4wd conversion spool (lockout hubs) Open Diffs, it does NOT have factory lockers Chassis · 290K miles on chassis & body · OME 3” suspension lift with OME shocks, heavy coils in rear · Redhead Steering gearbox, new 4/24 · ARB adjustable front panhard · Slee stainless extended brake lines · Delta VS rear panhard re-location bracket · Front axle full knuckles rebuilt, koyo bearings, gaskets, etc. All tie rod and drag link ends replaced with OEM Toyota parts, sandblasted and painted with chassis paint · Sway bar bushings and ends replaced · LC Phil sway bar disconnects · Front radius arms and upper control arm bushings replaced with Toyota OEM (lower radius bushings are OME) · AVM lockout hubs · Driveshaft universals have been replaced · Frame extension with custom spare tire mount, allows a full 35” tire, also allows the spare to be pulled farther up into the chassis with new style cable crank winch, mac’s y-strap for extra protection Wheels & Tires · [Quantity 5] 17×9.5 Black Rhino Stadium wheels with custom machined hub bores · [Quantity 5] 315/70R17 BFG K02 All terrain tires Interior · Front seats, center consol, rear cushion re-upholstered, re-foamed, all to match · New OEM heater core installed · All factory gauges are operational Extras · ARB 8’ awning · ARB winch bumper (winch not included) · Radius fabrications stainless snorkel · Amber fog lights · I have both rear leather seats Camper Exterior · Custom aluminum wedge style popup, LC body cut behind rear doors, camper built in place using insulated aluminum sandwich panels, aluminum sub frame and fabricated parts, 8’ tall x 17’ OAL · Water-resistant tent fabric on popup, 3 zipper windows with screens · Artic Tern Windows · Fabricated hatch style rear door with double acting dead bolt style lock, dual gas struts lift the door · Poli-all extruded PVC/aluminum hinges used for roof and rear door. · Roof is fully insulated, rear roof rack, provisions for a second roof mounted spare, versatie track system, 200w solar panel · Torlift scissor steps, easily removable when traveling · LED tail lights · I also have some aluminum mounts I made that will allow a pair of inflatable stand up paddle boards or other objects to be stored on the rear wall Camper interior · Queen size memory foam mattress, bed platform hinges from the front so you can move around, stand at sink, etc. · Wood cabinets with butcher block top · Dometic sink with electric water pump · Dual (or more) interior jerry can storage · Shelf for basic camp style stove · Wayska cabin diesel heater with custom external fuel tank (aluminum) · Flush mount interior puck lights, 4 in the roof and 4 under the bed, controlled by two independent switches or remote · Victron energy solar controller, blue seas switch panel/fuse box, 200w solar panel, agm deep cycle house battery (independent of LC) · Iceco fridge · Bench opens for storage, also has a cubby for small cassette toilet or stair storage, etc. · I also have both rear seats that will be included Known issues · When the truck is cold you’ll notice a tick, I have had 3 mechanics diagnose this as “piston slap” which happens when there is wear on the motor over time, the sound goes away once it’s up to temperature. The sound has been there since I’ve done the swap and I have driven thousands of miles like this. · Body has some rust in the rear lower ¼ panels under the rear doors, I have a welded in patch panels on the passenger side, I have the panel for the driver side I will include in the sale, there is also some small spots, one on the lower driver door (can provide new door skin), the radiator core support has some spots (will include new core support as well) · Windshield is cracked · Muffler is being replaced in the next week or so · Rear main seal has a slight drip · Odometer seems to be intermittent lately
