Besides the Hall of Fame trio, other Rookie Cards include Willie McGee, Frank Viola Gary Gaetti and Howard Johnson.And then there’s Ron Kittle, making his only appearance in one of the “Big 3” brand’s base releases. Images are a lot of portrait-style shots, either posed or with tight cropping, but some action shots do exist.Card backs include a noticeable change. In addition to a full grid of career stats and the usual vitals, there’s also a second player photo. It’s in black and white and it’s not large, but it’s something. The result is a little extra personality. The stakes would be raised further in a few years when Score came along with full-color backs then again with Upper Deck using the back for full-on action shots.
